Hi everyone,
I am about to buy my first goped and would like some advice; I really can't afford to wind up with a lemon. So far, I like best the Goped S25. I am looking to spend about $400. What sort of things should I look for? What about warranties? (few sites mention them). Is it worth it to try to buy one on ebay or a used one? I would rather get a new one if it came with a warranty.
Any advice would be helpful. Thanks!

If you are going to want to upgrade it, get a sport, options for the S25 are limited(I know, I have one). If you want reliability, and the best mileage, get the S25. There are ways to make the S25 faster, just not as many ways or as easy as a sport. On the other hand, IMO the S25 is THE most reliable Go-ped, a young friend of mine ran his without oil in the gas for about 3 and a half tanks, before I told him he was supposed to mix it. I took his head off and it showed no signs of cylinder wall scoring, which generally happens when you run a 2-stroke with no oil. I personally run mine with a 64:1 ratio(as opposed to the recommended 50:1) which is less oil than recommended, but it runs great, and leaves less carbon in the exhaust port. Also, spark plugs tend not to foul as often. If you want low maintenance, easy to start, S25 is the way to go.
